And early on in the day, in fact, the first person to speak today was the lead crown prosecutor who actually prosecuted Ivan Milat back in the day in 1996.

Now, you know Mark, don't you? So you've-

I did because he was the senior crown prosecutor, and as he said, look, you know, the final determination on who to prosecute and so on comes from the director of public prosecutions, and unless he's given a brief of evidence, he doesn't act on it.

Yeah.

So this was in relation, wasn't it, to obviously the seven backpacker murders that Ivan Milat was found guilty of, but the big question that's been coming out of the inquiry is how many more could Ivan Milat have been guilty of? And that was a core part of Mark Tedeschi's evidence today.
