And, uh, we went up to v- to interview the new boy, a guy called Mark Strickson.

And, uh, John, uh, had arranged for me to, and my friend, to go up and, and, uh, just watch the, the filming.

And I had seen an epis- this is one of my claims to fame.

I knew in Australia that we were at the stage where we felt we could do a convention.

So we did one in 1988 when I got back, which we didn't have any overseas guests, but we had Katie Manning and Mark Strickson.

So you can say having a convention in Australia with those two as a guest is not a bad guest line-up.

But I then personally took the decision about it, saying I wanted to get somewhere to do the Convention Australia.
