Mark Rolfing

He's going to be joining us, though, in just a little bit.

He is our golf guru, and he is certainly one of the experts on all things golf, but particularly as it pertains to Hawaii.

And the news coming out yesterday that the Lote Championship in the LPGA will be played, what, like six months from now? Yeah.

you guys all right safe travels uh the one and only resident football guru of our show rich miano all right we're gonna go ahead and take a commercial break uh we'll get to some text messages uh feel free to call in as well as mentioned mark rolfing of nbc and the golf channel is going to join us at the top of the hour we'll talk about the announcement yesterday that the lpga's lote is moving to the plantation course at kapalua and that's going to be put as sort of a double dip hawaii corner of the lpga tour schedule with the nanea cup is it the nanea cup is that what they're calling it over on hawaii island that's going to be the previous week and then they'll go over to maui which is not going to be a very easy one too from a television production standpoint And I'm sure Mark Rolfing knows a little something about that side of things as well.

But certainly a very cool wrinkle in the schedule from a golf standpoint here in the state of Hawaii.

The captains, Jim Furyk, Luke Donald, arrived last night to Adair Manor.

There'll be a lot of, you know, photo ops today.

with them touring the property with whatever the preliminary build out is which is going to be robust and then tomorrow a very lengthy press conference so you will have mark rolfing and annika in our number one from eight to nine and then nine uh o'clock we will take you to a dare manner for that press conference i'll have some reaction on the back end and and then just a reminder on wednesday i will have conversations individually with both luke donald and Jim Furyk.

So looking forward to tomorrow and then on to Wednesday.

Uh, and it doesn't even have...

There isn't even a lot of people on the ground covering it, as you will hear in a moment, as Mark Rolfing plays a key role, uh, in [laughs] some of this, uh, come down the stretch.

So we have a sudden death playoff between Ernie and Tiger.

And Tiger later said, "Ernie and I really did wanna buck heads.

And Gary says, "We could come back tomorrow morning." And then Jack counters with, "If we come back tomorrow morning, we should come back with 12 players.

It's a team event, not an individual event." Gary says, "I like that, but I'm not sure we can do that.

Wait a minute, wait a minute." And Mark Rolfing, of all people, is kind of in the middle of this.

And Mark Rolfing says, he later says, "You know, it was very confusing to me because I was kind of torn between doing live interviews and also trying to broker some sort of agreement about what should occur." I like to think of, uh, Tim Finchem deputizing Mark Rolfing in this moment to help navigate the situation.
