Mark Rivera

I got that gig and it was a band called Novo Combo.

We did a couple albums, but out of that, I met Mark Rivera, which is the Billy Joel connection, and various people.

And it just snowballed into just meeting a lot of people.

And then after Novo Combo split up, that was it for me.

I thought, I'm not going to

carry on looking for things.

I was home for about eight months, and I got a call from Mark Rivera.

Would I be interested? Billy just did an album, which was the Innocent Man album.

It had been number one on Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay for four weeks starting July 25th, 1981.

And Mark Rivera was the saxophone player.

He was from Billy Joel's band.

And he played sax on a bunch of different songs on the album.
