Mark Hudson

We actually worked in Nashville together before I moved here.

And anyway, he was friends with Mark Hudson, who was producing Ringo at the time.

I think this was 2003, I believe.

And anyway, he was working with an engineer named Paul Santos, who also worked with Aerosmith.

and he was from Boston, but anyway, they were doing some overdubs here in, uh, Mark's studio in Santa Monica.

And, uh, he, I didn't know Mark, but he asked my, Jeff was pitching him some songs.

Jeff's a songwriter and he contacted, uh, and Mark asked him, you know, any engineers that could sit in for a few days, you know? So Jeff called me up and anyway, I got ahold of Mark Hudson and, set up the sessions, you know, so I went over there.

I thought it was going to be for like, you know, four or five days, maybe a week, you know, you know, I got there and then we were doing some, uh, actually the first thing we did was edited, uh, Eric Clapton solo from, from, uh, it was Ringo Rama was the album.

And John is always looking for his next musical collaboration, production project.

And he had an old friend named Mark Hudson, who was another kind of musical genius, and Mark recently died from complications with alcoholism.

And John sent me this little piece of music that Mark had done, and I just wanted to, uh, remember Mark and, and play a little bit of his music.

Shelly Fairchild was born in 1977, country music singer-songwriter famous for her 2005 debut album Ride and the hit single that was on it, "You Don't Lie Here Anymore." Mark Hudson was born in 1946, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and television personality who found fame performing alongside his brothers in The Hudson Brothers before becoming a sought-after Grammy Award-winning producer for Aerosmith.

Roger Greenaway was born in 1938, British singer-songwriter who rose to fame as one half of a legendary songwriting duo with Roger Cook.

They had hits that they wrote like "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)" y- was originally a Coca-Cola jingle that turned into its own hit.
