I guess I kind of feel a little excited that there is.

Such major change, and I wasn't surprised at all following the polls, and Mark Halperin kind of predicted it.

I'm just hoping that we can get something done.

One of the people who I follow pretty closely is Mark Halperin.

Colin Reed, what would your, how do you think the 2028 Republican field looks as of today, knowing that lots of things can change?

Well, I've been saying all along, Republicans don't like a coronation.

It's a brutal, unfair question.

John Fetterman? still a democrat right technically but let me ask you this just who do you think has the most assets going for them to be the democratic nominee who do you think if not not based on where they're polling today but if you look at down the road money appeal geography meeting the moment who do you think is is the democrat best designed to become

their party's nominee Well, Mark Halperin's got a theory.

I, too, listen to his podcast and read his newsletter every day.

I do think it's possible.

And I partially think that's why Trump kind of freaked out at the end when they were getting internals coming back to them, like Mark Halperin reported.

And Mark Halperin very interestingly suggested they lashed out at him as a kind of piece of performance art so as to try and douse the flames of panic among Republicans and to make it look like they were still doing OK.

I also think a lot of them did buy into the idea that they were going to be fine.

And ignored a lot of the flashing red lights because they do have this correct position on the polls that they often over represent Democrats.

Me? On the main screen.

Mark Halperin is the winner of the week.

It's undeniable.

I mean, I cannot tell you, Mark, how many of my friends, how many of my colleagues called me during the course of the last three weeks saying, what the hell is wrong with your buddy Halperin? What the hell is he smoking? It's like, listen, Mark, he's got a track record.

I'm giving you my opinion.

He's giving his.

Mark Halperin is the winner of the week because he called this before anybody else saw it on the radar.

And today I'll say that from the Republican point of view, it's worse than Megyn thinks.
