What should consumers look for when choosing a high-quality supplement or, and/or creatine product?
1:26
Certainly.
1:27
I have to say this was something that was, um, most unsettling to me when I got into the supplement space.
1:34
So I stepped out of forensic toxicology, which he- heavily regulated by the College of American Pathologists and the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration, and all sorts of, uh, governing bodies, and everything had to be buttoned up.
1:48
We were inspected regularly.
1:50
Uh, uh, people crawled through all of our documents and regulations.
1:54
And, and that led me into research to try to find something, as I indicated, that, to help athletes, uh, from a performance standpoint, since forensic toxicology and testing was taking away some of their steroids and things.
5:04
And is there any, like, warning sign that we should be looking out for? If they don't have those but, you know, they're really popular or we're seeing them on the internet, what are some of the warning signs if people aren't really aware of those, um, you know, uh, additional, uh, certifications?

10:17
What kinds of advice can you give people on the creatine end who are taking these GLP-1s?
3:26
Okay, please do enjoy, and we'll see you again next week on Monday.
3:30
I think, Owen, I would often describe the purpose of a clinical record as threefold.
3:37
And I think it's always really helpful to think of records of having three purposes, one of which is around a continuum of care.
3:46
It's a continuity of care.
3:47
It allows those looking after a patient in a hospital setting to understand what happened pre-hospitally, understand the treatments delivered, what you found, what your assessment found, and inform patients and about what has happened pre-hospitally.
4:04
And it provides that continuity of care.
4:06
The next kind of purpose is very much the internal process of audit and review and assurance of our care.

22 MINS LATER

25:54
When we talk about
33:12
You violate them, you get fired.
33:14
Yes.
33:14
And top to bottom.
33:16
So what is it like to act like an owner as a custodian? What is it like to have integrity if you're in billing? What is it like to strive for excellence if you're a nurse? Whatever.
33:26
And we align our behaviors around our values and we reinforce it.
33:30
My mom and dad would say more of this and less of that.
33:32
No to this and yes to that.
38:09
Why is that?
43:02
So who can benefit from the extra creatine and why? And what would those benefits be?
43:07
Yeah, that's a great question.
43:09
And I'm going to answer it first kind of in a macro sort of way, and then I'll get more specific for you.
43:13
There is a group right now, the Global Creatine Network, that is working with the World Health Organization.
43:21
And the efforts are to establish RDIs, Recommended Dietary Intake of Creatine, for all age levels.
43:28
So who can benefit from taking creatine? Everyone.
43:32
And the reason that the World Health Organization is leaning into this in establishing these RDIs is because they recognize, they believe that a significant contributor to the increase in global disease over the last several decades is because of low creatine intake and the body not having enough to fuel the immune system to fight off diseases.
48:12
What are some of the things that you're seeing that you seem pretty excited about?
4:42
Now, what is the greatest opportunity for Credit Benchmark?
4:45
I think the biggest single opportunity for us as an organization is to be of service to our clients as they worry about and are concerned about counterpart risk or credit risk.
4:57
Over the last decade, we've spent that time gathering the data set.
5:02
ready for these moments of uncertainty and concern i think if you look at the benign nature of the credit world and the fact that we haven't had major counterpart risk exposures and ex explosions for better work um over this last decade has been very welcome, but that benign credit environment will not continue and persist.
5:26
I'm surprised it's lasted as long as it has, but I think our biggest single opportunity is to be ready to be of assistance in the counterpart risk management business and the credit risk management business as the world will inevitably move to a more malign environment.
5:44
How that manifests itself in the world of agency lending disclosure or onboarding, or counterpart risk management, or even in the world, private credit and financing of that private credit, which is a very significant part of the skilled financing business.
6:01
Time will tell, but we're ready.
6:42
You want to add a little transparency and color for the general market is my take, correct?
24:51
... how it compares to a failed batch in your lab?
24:54
lab?[laughs] Certainly.
24:56
Um, creatine monohydrate, you're right, is the one that is most well known, and mainly because it's been around the longest.
25:04
And so it's had the most opportunity to, uh, both be talked about, to be studied, um, and to kind of permeate the market.
25:13
Um, certainly initially it was the athletic market, um, and now that, that momentum in the athletic market and that broad, um, acceptance and, and, uh, awareness of, of creatine monohydrate has spread to the general public and the general market.
25:28
Um, and there's a lot of creatine experts or people that are influencers or they're talking about creatine that, um, uh, share a lot of information about creatine monohydrate, talk about it as the gold standard.
25:39
It's the most studied.

23 MINS LATER

48:39
Like, what, what are we hopeful for in the future as far as, like, medical applications of creatine hydrochloride?
2:17
And were you searching for it in Rome, or had you been looking for something else entirely?
2:23
So my colleague, Elisabetta Magnanti, was looking systematically for manuscripts of Bede's Ecclesiastical History of the English People, which is the text that tells us the story of Cadman.
2:34
And she came across some references to a copy that might be in Rome or might have been in several other places, but also a reference from 1975, so 50 years ago, that said this manuscript doesn't exist.
2:48
But she followed up with Rome and two months later they sent her pictures of the manuscript and she discovered that it had the copy of Cadman's hymn.
2:56
And do you have any idea how it ended up there or where it would have come from?
3:04
Yeah, so we actually managed to reconstruct the history in quite a lot of detail.
3:08
So it was written at Nonantulla, which is in the north of Italy.
3:11
It's quite a famous monastery in the early Middle Ages.
