So kind of walk me through what your relationship with your executives was like during that period of time.

It was Mark Canton who ended up running the studio.

The great thing about Bob and Terry is that, you know, they were suits, as we say.

You know, they were the big guys there.

And even if the theatrical business has been depressed over the last few years, it's being it's kind of surging back now.

I do say if you take all the economics away from it and just we've known throughout history that the movie business is hard.

That push-up feeling, artists being taken care of, that feeling you got making Practical Magic 2, the feeling you had with Mark Canton as your executives, that feeling you had at New World where they said, hey, go make something that the kids would want to see.

If you can make this for $2 million with Winona Ryder, you got it, and you did it.

So, the plan was about trying to bring revenue into operation without overextending him to the point where no one would be interested in getting involved in anything he wanted to do.

And the Batman album came into being when I was contacted by Batman producer Mark Canton and I went to Prince and said, this will help us bring revenue into the system without having to expose you to another album.

This will be a way for you to creatively go to work.

It's not essentially a Prince album, it's a Batman album and so it's a win-win.

I remember right before the movie came out, the movie had cost $16 million, and they asked, I think it was Mark Canton who was quoted, he was an executive at that time.

He said, "We expect this movie to make about $16 million." [laughs]
