System 3 boss Mark Cale later told Retro Gamer it sold five and a half million on the 64 alone.

He said that was one in four 64 owners.

One in four owners sounds like a figure that grew with every telling, and I'd take it with a big pinch of salt.

If one of the guys went on to Activision and became somebody big, that's possible, I suppose.

But I was mostly reading about Mark Cale and John Tweedy.

John Tweedy was the programmer primarily, and Mark Cale was the leader at System 3, co-founder.
