Mark Boyle

And, you know, that was that was a very normal thing.

normal thing I suppose it was you know life in the 80s where cash was tight you know what I mean so yeah and but also it was just carrying on from the skills that my parents had grown up with as well it's a shame we've lost them so it's you know that's why the work you do and the courses you run and the books you write and the podcasts you do and all the stuff is so important and it really has its place now more than ever I was actually talking to a guy I'm sure you know him Mark Boyle

yeah of course

had him on the pod a good few years ago yeah and I suppose that's an extreme case where he does live off the grid

But I decided to order it.

And the book is The Way Home, Tales from a Life Without Technology by Mark Boyle.

So Mark Boyle is a guy who years ago did an experiment that was covered in the media where he said, I'm going to live a year without money and see if I could do it.

And you could check it out, just Google it and see.

But with this book, what he decided is he's going to go a year out in the Irish countryside, and they call it a small holding, with zero technology.

But this is another one where you don't have to take 100% of a book.

If you pull some nuggets from it, I think it's worth the read.

So that final book is The Way Home, Tales from a Life Without Technology by Mark Boyle.
