Marion Chesney

all of them I love them

uh MC Beaton is just a goddess and I'm so sad she has passed but she's the entire reason I want to go to Cotswolds someday like it's on my bucket list it's like top three places I need to visit and so yeah so it's like that very sassy female like loose type thing where you know my main character in that book I'm naming her Pinky Patel I asked my cousin who's named Pinky for her permission and she gave it because I love alliteration

and

as a Patel it's just like it's just like a cultural thing to be a Patel so I'm like of course I'm gonna make her Patel but yeah so the main character in that book is just this you know kind of outcast sort of character because she's like a 30 something year old unmarried Indian woman attending her cousin's wedding so she's already kind of on her back foot having to defend herself from everyone being like why aren't you married yet and then all these murders start happening and she's like a main suspect and it's easy to kind of single her out because she's already single you know and kind of on the fringes of things so

And fair enough, that's their choice, to the fact that a new author took over a few years ago and has changed things up a bit.

This week I am revisiting the cosy little Cotswolds village of Carsley, investigating two mysterious murders and perhaps crying a little bit, unusually, as I review the 2025 edition to the Agatha Raisins series by MC Beaton and RW Green, Sugar and Spite.

Step into my bookish world and please do enjoy your stay.

Feathers are flying in Agatha Raisin's brand new case.

However, she is struggling to warm to the new style.

She gave Sugar and Spite a two-star rating in her review.

When MC Beaton wrote

these books, I loved them.
