And so and our local art in Coquosa particular is very important to us with, you know, the portraits, the custom portraits of people.

And I've been looking at this since we opened Harbortown.

yeah so i think i'd like to think i have a pretty decent story for for how this all came to fruition so when i was growing up i was raised by my mom's side of the family which is 100 italian and uh i was raised specifically by my mom and my grandmother and my grandfather as well um and so my grandmother when she was younger took care of her mother who had multiple sclerosis she was her primary caretaker and uh from a young age she was listening to music on the radio and at that time it was opera that was like the pop music that was being you know um shared on the radio so she learned all of these songs and all this musical theater repertoire at 10 years old and would sing it to her mother So she developed this ear and had a beautiful voice, too, for classical music.

My grandfather, very similarly, loved Mario Lanza and, you know, paparazzi and all these artists.

And so he would kind of be singing that around the house, too.

And I don't know that I ever thought I would be an opera singer, but it was just kind of part of the culture of what we did.

I mean, you just think of Elvis.

Elvis' influences are like, as everyone knows, like R&B, country and western, Mario Lanza.

It's all stuff that had been there for years before.

I mean, he sang Are You Losing Tonight? It was a song from the 20s.
