And, you know, there is a lot of competition in Bordeaux, and especially in Margaux, because you have 61 classifé grows and 21 are in Margaux.

Margaux is like, it's the biggest appellation, so that's why you have so many options in Margaux.

So if it's not us, it's gonna be someone else.

On the left bank, west of the water, you get gravelly soils.

Cabernet Sauvignon is king, and that's the world of the 1855 classification, Margaux, Pauillac, and the great Médoc château.

That's the region everyone pictures when they think Bordeaux.

Saint-Emilion is the other Bordeaux.

And in terms of the villages, it applies to...

On the left bank, it's Pouliac, Margaux, Saint-Julien, Saint-Eustephe.

There's also villages like Saint-Laurent, Macau, and Loudon, which are mainly just labeled as Hort-Medoc, is sort of how you'll see them today.

And these rankings were basically determined by wine brokers, both in the UK and in France, and I'm assuming probably also in the Netherlands and Switzerland and stuff like that.
