Welcome back to Code Pink Radio, where author Dr. David Vine is here to also talk about that runaway budget, as well as a leaked report that suggests Trump wants to spend $500 million to further fuse the US and Israeli militaries with a new military base.

Dr. David Vine is the author of a trilogy of books about war and peace, including The United States War, A Global History of America's Endless Conflicts, From Columbus to the Islamic State.

But the Trump administration and the Hegseth Pentagon, the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, have, of course, cracked down on anyone who would even dare to talk to a journalist.

They've gone after whistleblowers, and the ones that leaked the photographs to CBS News are incredibly brave for having done so, and we can only hope that more whistleblowers step up and share what they know, given the complete lack of transparency and honesty coming from the Trump administration.

I'm Marcy Winograd.
