Marcy Houses

yeah

yeah and what this healing is going to do is not just liberate you but this healing is going to literally break shackles off of the construct because being from the south whether you grew up in Marcy Projects in New York, whether you grew up off of Crenshaw, whether you grew up in Southside Chicago, no matter where you grew up, there is a construct that you have attached to your belief system that tells your brain that I... have to do this if I don't want to go back here.

I have to become this if I don't want to experience this again.

Absolutely.

There were the good and then there was the bad from growing up in my neighborhood.

And I heard Jay-Z say this once and, you know, talking about growing up in Marcy Projects.

It's like I don't have to replicate that same thing for my kids to them to be able to say, oh, yeah, I grew up in.

Because there's a certain edge that you get growing up the way we grew up.
