Marcus Hutchins

You can sometimes have a very nuanced discussion on LinkedIn with people.

I mean, yeah, same on X, but You know, there are some notorious personalities, well-known personalities who really are in the AI doesn't work camp, right? So, so Marcus Hutchins, right, is one of them.

And I don't know if you're okay me mentioning the name.

you see the LinkedIn post by Marcus Hutchins? Yeah, but sometime last week, he was talking about how his brain naturally is really good at languages.

And so even if you run a humanizer skill and all of this kind of stuff, he can tell, and I think many of us can, that You know, that are, you know, our brains go that way.

I'm good at languages, too.

Now, two things I want to say, number one, and shout out to Kimberly Can Fix It for sharing this with me and others.

Well, or at least with me, I'm not sure where she sent it, but Marcus Hutchins, YouTube, AI, Doom, I think.

I watched this video last night This guy's Marcus Hutchins.

If you don't know, Marcus is a, he's a great guy.

He's a content creator.

So if that doesn't make sense to anyone, th- and it, it...

Marcus Hutchins was, you know, blew up and made famous for discovering, uh, the kill switch domain for, um, WannaCry.

Same kind of thing here.

A lot of malware, right? The, the threat actors spent a lot of time on this malware, so even though they're using Ethereum blockchain for C2, they still need, you know, uh, IT infrastructure for exfilling data, for pushing new, uh, malicious payloads down, updating software, whatever.

And I think, again, this is, I go back to what we've talked about before.

And there are certain players in the industry, I know Marcus Hutchins is a great proponent and a vocal, I want to say, challenger on this, is saying that we're not seeing AI attack left, right and centre.

We're not seeing

that.

And if it was registered, then it would shut itself off.

And when Marcus Hutchins had decompiled the ransomware and figured out how it worked, he registered the domain name and essentially stopped WannaCry.

Beautiful.

It's crazy, isn't it?
