Uh, we wanted to bring together a group of stellar writers alongside a film executive, a head of film at a major production company who is extraordinary, and to just hear about this process from different vantage points, and to vet, get very technical and very practical about the craft and the psychology and the, the collaboration behind the process of a rewrite.

[smacks lips] So I'm going to introduce our incredible panelists, starting with Marcus Gardley, who's a good friend and a great writer.

He is a poet, a playwright, a screenwriter.

He wrote the screenplay for the reimagining of The Color Purple, which came out three years ago, and it's a great movie.

Even if they don't agree with the premise or where the, where the story is going, your craft, your artist- artistry was undeniable, and they would wanna work with you.
