Who would you rank, you know, besides the obvious, as your top defensive forwards when you're, when you need that?

Yeah, Eriksson Ek, Foligno, McCarron, Hartman, um, Sturm.

Yeah, I don't think Hartman would be in my top four.

I think, probably I agree with the other guys.

Eriksson Ek.

Bo- I'd put Eriksson Ek one, Boldy two, and probably Marcus Foligno would be three.

And if the NHL actually did what the award says, best defensive forward, do you think Eriksson Ek's the best in the NHL?

They have Hartman over there for the hardworking veteranship that he brings.

Marcus Foligno and Nick Foligno are still over there being the bash bros and hanging out and being veterans on that squad.

And then you have some promising young talent as well.

Like you have Yurov, you have Trennan, you have Bobby Brink, who I think Hasn't really lived up to the expectations that a lot of NHL fans have put on him, but he's still, he's been quality, right? Like, so to me, they have a pretty deep team and especially if somehow they find a way to add Larkin to this mix.

Foligno, Hartman, Kaprizov, these guys are all in their 30s, I think.

Kaprizov might not be there yet.

Most of their defense, apart from Faber and Hughes, is, like, quite old.

I can't believe they just let him go.

Brennan Hartman, Bobby Brink, Nick Foligno, Marcus Foligno, Mike McCarron.

Like, I don't love that.

Nope.

And I hate, I hate that.

But in this case, it might be just a different makeup of lines where maybe it's a Foligno, Trenion, McCarron, And then it's a Urov, Brink, and somebody where it's a, this line's a little bigger, this line's a little faster, that kind of mix up where some nights, you know, one might play more minutes than the other.

So you could label them to say that like whatever line Urov is on fits.

fourth line as opposed to or McCarron same thing like it might look on the sheet like it's fourth line but they might play more minutes than the third line on most nights so I think it might just depend on how those lines get made up and you know maybe it's a Nick Foligno with McCarron and Trenion and then Marcus Foligno's playing with Yurov and Brink or something I think there's some different combos there that could that

could make those lines

atypical from a third and fourth line

I had forgotten all about heated rival.

We even brought that up since we talked to Marcus Foligno, you know, a few months ago.

So that must be what it's related to.

That is so dumb that I would love to either wear that or see that at a hockey game.

Kirill Kaprizov, Danila Yurov, Maxim Shabanov.

Blake Coleman, Jewel Erickson, Matt Boldy, Yakov Trenion, Ryan Hartman, Bobby Brink, Marcus Foligno, Michael McCarron, and Nick Foligno is, as of right now, the starting lineup for opening night on October 1st.

Now, we know that there has been some trade rumblings throughout the offseason for various players, whether it be Danila Yurov, whether it be Yakov Trenion, whether it be Niko Sturm, not pictured.

We'll talk more about Sturm in a second.

So Trenion and maybe Sturm, I think, could certainly be moved, but only if a Larkin deal happens.

And so with no Larkin, the lineup as it sits right now is pretty well set.

And as far as the fourth line goes, Marcus Foligno, Nick Foligno, Michael McCarron, I actually thought Nick Foligno played... rather solidly with the wild after he was acquired, but he was playing a fourth line role and it really weren't a ton of expectations as to what he was going to bring.

Your third line of Yakov Trenion, Ryan Hartman and Bobby Brink is one that I feel like will kind of move, move around as pieces are needed.
