And, you know, guys like Anto Saka and Marco Jones that we've been hyping up all fall camp have essentially been a non-factor.

You know, you've been, you can watch an A&M game and they don't really make too much of a difference on the game.

And it's hard for the secondary to ultimately, you know, do their coverages and, you know, cover receivers.

Every level there's a – feels like a deficiency.

And we keep talking about that word because – and it's really fascinating because you see this through the camp.

Like there's positions where you're like, well – defensive line where's the big guy coming from right where's the playmaker coming from and you didn't know and you felt good about answer the sock on some of the things it hasn't produced in that sense marco jones supposed to take a massive leap statistically it hasn't really come outside of that pick six right and so they they really want them to come in and get some sacks more so than to pick the ball off right like beggars can't be choosers in that sense but and obviously in the linebacker room they've been one hand behind the back without damian sanford but Noah McHale has been good at times.

Ray Coney has been good at times.

He has been huge at eliminating a lot of those big plague opportunities.

I mean, you look at the job he did on Marco Jones last week.

um preventing him when he when he when he got him in the crosshairs it was it was good night so and just continuing to keep that type of of adept play and skill and develop those core four guys is going to be key and this is going to be a big time matchup to really do this because i think it's going to be a field position game

and willie again everything's new right like we're you know we're talking about patrick uh graham on defense we're talking about mike mccarthy on offense and of course is the head coach we're also talking about danny crossman new special teams it's a different philosophy you know mike tomlin proved to be willing to keep a guy or two on his roster simply for special teams mike mccarthy sort of rejects that notion says look you got to be able to help me on four downs to make the team first and then be a contributor on special teams so you know special teams philosophy is also different and we shouldn't overlook that that's another unit that hopefully you know obviously you want every unit to come out looking great like the defense has been able to do but sometimes these things take time um and that's all well and good to say but this is the kind of game where you can't you can't be the team that's on the short end of that

Very athletic, can still beat guys off the ball but i- it's just not as consistent winning.

Um, Marco Jones I think is still developing.

I think he's gonna be a great player.

TJ Searcy is a solid guy but you don't have the, just the guy that wins, uh, like Cassius Howell did.

But Antosaka wants it.

Marco Jones, TJ Searcy, they have the ability to get after the quarterback.

I think that Kentucky is going to really struggle to score points in this game.

So even if Marks are reading A&M, they're still kind of slow.

Yeah, they're actually in some areas more explosive.

That Marco Jones guy is good, that edge.

I think their D tackles are looking pretty good too.

Yeah, I don't know if their secondary is elite, but we'll see.
