Marcia Cross

Yeah, great.

Um, I loved how you shared in Desperate Housewives, one of your co-stars, Marcia Cross, told you that you tend to undercut your performance.

Yeah, my power.

That you sometimes run from your power.

Is that right?

Yeah, I did.

I went to Marc Cherry, who was the creator, um, and I said early on, I said, "I'm..." Because I, I gotta say, working with Marcia Cross was just magical.

She's such-

Yeah, great.

In terms of a job, I was like, perfect job.

But what made it the most special was working with Marcia Cross.

So she played Bree to my Orson.

She was everything.

And Susie, we're about to wrap up, and, uh, in so doing, we're gonna do a little bit of script flipping.

You talked about how you reached out to the actress Marcia Cross for advice once you were diagnosed, but I want you to put yourself in her position.

What if you ran into somebody who had just been diagnosed with anal cancer or thought there was a good possibility that diagnosis could happen? This person might have a lot of questions for you.

You'd have a lot of answers.

That's Eva Longoria.

Marcia Cross being Bree.

Lynette, uh, Felicity Huffman, uh, as the not really happy housewife-

Mm-hmm

So, uh, and that all came out, like, it wasn't like he said it publicly, it was that he had said it enough behind the scenes that, uh, Nicolette Sheridan included it in her lawsuit, and that's how it came out to the public, not that he wanted it to come out to the public, which I think also says a lot.

And then, um, when Desperate Housewives ended, there was, uh, a bunch of reports that had emerged that Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, Vanessa Williams, they gave the crew a farewell gift.

Guess whose name was not attached to the farewell gift?

Teri Hatcher.
