Marc St. James

This fall marks 20 years since Ugly Betty first hit the airwaves, and Michael Urie, who played Mark St. James, is still reflecting on that wild ride.

He remembers going from sharing an apartment in Bushwick to being in magazines in just a few months, a speed of fame that's pretty rare these days.

With so many entertainment options, he's still proud of the show, even admitting there are few cringey moments, but he feels they were ahead of their time with stories about queer, characters, diversity, and immigration.
