Manti

Yep.

Reggie Frischknecht is a kid who grew up in Manti, went to Snow College for a semester, went to Weber State for a semester, and then he comes to BYU.

So he's had no real like consistent structure in a program, just different offenses and playbooks.

Growing up in Manti wasn't really polished.

He wasn't like your prototypical receiver.

He was originally going to walk on here and I found him a scholarship in the 11th hour and I'm so glad I did.

Wow

... especially a town called Manti and Ephraim.

He brings them himself.

Now, he's also using the Mormons to displace his rivals.

It's like, what's that doing there? How interesting.

So we've got the Manti Temple and we've got the temple right next to it that's going to open up in a couple of weeks.

Yeah.

So we'll be able to see how much this drops from 52 to maybe 40 or something.

I don't know.

Yeah, and I know I just talked about this on the newscast the other day, how Ephraim is just seven miles away from Manti.

And we've already seen pleas on social media from the Monroe State where the Manti Temple is.

So her first time ever was going to be basically a once in a lifetime elk tag for her here in Utah.

And so I, I remember this, this area that we, that we went to, you know, I, I grew up hunting on the Manti, so we knew it really well.

my brother and his wife were there as well.

And I think we hunted three days, you know, we were, you know, picking over bulls, you know, little, you know, little rag horns or some decent bulls that were broken off, you know, and I wanted her to shoot a good bull.

Have you got a memorable buck story?

Um, yeah, I mean, I've, I've, I've shot some, you know, a few nice bucks over the years.

Um, I'll probably the last year, 2025 was something on the Manti.

One of my neighbors wanted to go and my brother, he was supposed to go, but you know, he, he said he got sick, you know, the night before, so he wasn't going to make it.

But like when you're outside, it's like ever shoveling everyone to those doors.

Yeah, and then also, I think one of the days, one of the big days for the Manti Temple was that it was super cold.

And so everyone is like, they're huddled masses out in the outside, just freezing to death.

And they're like, sorry, we don't have a place for you.

I still don't understand why they only did a two or three week open house for that temple.

Or they're making a big deal about the Salt Lake Temple.

The Manti Temple is a big deal.

They should have had a whole three month open
