Manowar

You felt like this was my identity or something like that.

And then the last one that probably would have preceded this was Manowar.

And thankfully, I think Gavin chose Manowar ahead of me, so that's good.

Got Manowar on the mantle.

Because in 1986 and 87, I was into Manowar and this band, T.T. Quick.

They have an album in 1986 called Medal of Honor.

That was the album I picked.

They're brief, like it's in the verse of Frontburner and then the chorus of Hard as Rock.

From the mid to late 2000s, yeah.

I mean, I got a lot of requests for Manowar, obviously Priest, Maiden, of course.

Lots of death metal.

But when it comes to the black metal bands, you know, aside from Bathory and Ember, I would say Wolves in a Throne Room, yeah.

Right, yeah.

And then Manowar, Sign of the Hammer, just because it's Manowar.

Right, that's terrifying.

Yeah.

Loincloths freak me out.

Their music does.

I like Manowar.

You and Ralph.

I think most of these guys at this point still are carrying on from the first two albums.

The riffs to me, especially in that song, and we'll hear it elsewhere, but really in that song, especially that opening part of that snippet, it's like primordial or Manowar or enslaved riffs.

Yeah, yeah.

These like things of like this confident kind of hulking glory, you know, if that makes any sense.
