I think the most important and positive development for me is that the critical infrastructure and this must be part of the critical infrastructure um for us here in the northwest moving forward and the council and in fairness to transport infrastructure ireland are both requesting uh the government and the department to make this a priority and i think that's great and it's good news um so i suppose we are now in the process that hopefully could be decided by the first or second quarter of next year and we can get on with it then because it's only when you have the full plan permission, the same as anyone applying to For plan remission to build a home or something, you need to have your plan remission in order to move on to the next stage, then to get out for tender.

But, you know, a lot of work has happened over the last number of years, putting the plans together for what would be known as the Bunaghy Relief and the bridge over the Swally and Manor Cunningham to Lifford and the Ballybuffet and Stranorler Bypass.

in Letterkenny in the North West and it's important that our projects are part of that.

One that we all hear a lot of conversation about over the last year or so is the Galway Ring Road being part of that critical infrastructure.

That's very important to Galway but it's good to see now that the TNT of Letterkenny, Ballybuth East, Norler and Manor Cunningham to Lifford has also been part of that because there's projects all around the country.

So I'm glad that we're being identified as that critical infrastructure because we all know that this project will be a real game changer for us in the Northwest because we have so much, I suppose, so much of our freight and so many travelling because we don't have the rail service through the road and I mean that would make a huge difference to everyone's journey leaving Donegal on a dual carriage with the whole way to Dublin and I think that's what we're working to try and achieve.
