Mano Menezes

Um, Vizcarra who was a former international defender took over Venezuela in the middle of the year.

Mano Menezes is a Brazilian, former Brazil national team coach.

He took charge of Peru earlier this year.

So they, they've had a, they've had a, a few games, just a few games under the, under their belt.

And, uh, the Brazilian coach at that time, he's now the Peru coach, just got beat 4-1 by a, a, a team of kids from the, from Pochettino's USA at the weekend.

Uh, Mano Menezes, he got up and said, "We can't be like that in Brazil.

We're not allowed to be like that in Brazil.

It cannot function like that in Brazil.

But the game had, had fundamentally changed when those guys come in, so it's not always fair to judge those players that are coming in in that moment.

One note on Peru, they are coached by Brazilian Mano Menezes, who previously coached Brazil from 2010 to 2012.

Uh, I attended his first match as Brazil coach.

It was a friendly against United States in August of 2010 at MetLife Stadium.

in less than 30 days, right? They don't know what to do with it, right? They don't know, government usually doesn't know what they're doing, right? So it's a complete different, two different lives.

Now, this new coach for the Peruvian national team, his name is Mano Menezes.

He's Brazilian.

He used to be the former coach of Gremio.

In that one, they lost to Australia in penalties in the international intercontinental playoffs, so that was a bit heartbreaking for them.

And, and so they have a, a new guy now, Mano Menezes, Mene- Menezes.

I've been trying to say that right, and I'm absolutely butchering it, and I apologize.

He's from Brazil.

We gotta change the game," or, "We have to..." You know, "They're gonna expect to dictate the tempo." This is a game where we gotta play on our terms.

The, the bottom line.

And Mano Menezes, the coach for Peru, is not a, a...

Is just looking for guys who are g- who can fight, who can grind, who can show that they have potential to, to be in the running for World Cup qualifiers, because this is not a good team.
