It's disgraceful.

Manny Rutinel passed laws to crack down on child exploitation, strengthen reporting of child abuse, and protect kids in foster care.

Gabe Evans protected child predators.

But let's get into the highly contested congressional race for Colorado's 8th District.

So why are you running for Congress?

Hundreds of Coloradans gathered in Greeley last night to talk to each other and to the people watching at home on 9 News because the candidates who want to represent them in Congress won't show up to listen and take questions.

Republican Congressman Gabe Evans and Democrat Manny Rutinel are sticking to smaller, carefully curated crowds of supporters and speaking to other voters through their attack ads.

So we held a town hall for voters in Colorado's 8th Congressional District in Adams and Weld counties.

And when Evans and Rutinell declined to debate or to answer those voter questions on 9 News, the voters who came out last night by the hundreds talked about their concerns about tariffs and costs, how Evans' allegiance to President Trump they believe is hurting the district.

Right.

And Manny Rutinel.

Top target for Democrats to take out.
