In August, the new laws became enforceable, allowing illegal, modified or high-powered e-bikes and other non-registerable motor vehicles and unregistered registered vehicles used in public places to be seized and destroyed.

Now, this operation patrolling Manly, Curl Curl, DY and Avalon yesterday, they targeted illegal, modified, high-powered e-bike use in the Northern Beaches area.

Something called a speed testing dynamometer was also used to assist officers test suspect devices.

Now, the Northern Beaches locations in Sydney were identified following recent incidents of illegal, dangerous and reckless e-bike use.

Their services are still running across Sydney Harbour.

So Manly, for instance.
