Tristan V. EsquivezGUEST
55:48
I really believe that there's a new paradigm of masculinity evolving.
Tristan V. EsquivezGUEST
55:51
And I've been inspired by, you know, coaches like John Weiland, you know, Sacred Sons as a movement, the Mankind Project, Connor Beaton, Mantox, and all these that kind of like hubs opening up, speaking directly toward men.
Tristan V. EsquivezGUEST
56:05
I also believe that there is more spaces needed for BIPOC community, for black indigenous people of color.
Tristan V. EsquivezGUEST
56:10
I really believe that there can be more diversity in men's work as well.
Alex KopelmanGUEST
4:14
And a big part of that for me was trying to understand what it meant to be a man and how to be a man in the world.
Alex KopelmanGUEST
4:22
And I went through one of those kind of initiation experience weekends that was at that time created by an organization called the Mankind Project.
Alex KopelmanGUEST
4:35
And that experience in itself was very valuable.
Alex KopelmanGUEST
4:38
What was really transformative for me is that I joined a men's group that I was then part of for 25 years.
Chris HemmingsGUEST
39:03
Yeah, absolutely.
Chris HemmingsGUEST
39:04
Well, big up Poison from the Mankind Project because I took one of his ideas, which is anybody who comes and does work with the Mankind Project, if you want to be an MKP facilitator, you have to first and foremost own your own shit in front of everybody else.
Ashanti BranchHOST
39:19
So
Chris HemmingsGUEST
39:19
that's why we are the only, as far as I'm aware, we are the only... group who, before we do the workshops, I decided that I didn't want to just go into a workshop space and just be like, I'm Chris, listen to me, you know? So we do, even if it's 10 minutes, but sometimes it's 45 minutes, we do an assembly with the whole year group.
Jason HowellHOST
0:25
It was a wonderful experience.
Jason HowellHOST
0:27

Jason HowellHOST
0:32

Jason HowellHOST
5:21
That basically means tomorrow and Friday, you will not get an episode of The Daily, and I'm really sorry.
Jason HowellHOST
5:27
If I could make it work, I would, but just to give you a little insight, I am involved with a men's group association called mankind project and they have these weekend retreats that happen and it's a good opportunity for me to kind of step out of the chaos and craziness and go practice some good healthy habits and also welcome some new men into the fold um it's a really wonderful organization if you've never heard of it and you're curious definitely check it out it's it's worldwide it's free to do the groups, although the weekend has a fee to it.
Jason HowellHOST
6:05
But still, it's not a huge amount.
Jason HowellHOST
6:08
And they actually do have scholarships and stuff, so you can apply for those.
Jim JamesGUEST
41:43

Michaela AnneHOST
41:53

Adam NisensonGUEST
25:50

Adam NisensonGUEST
25:52
Actually, I did the New Warrior, the Mankind Project.
Adam NisensonGUEST
25:55
I got into that and became a leader in that.
Adam NisensonGUEST
25:57
And then that propelled me into, I was always interested in psychology, but then going back to school and becoming a therapist.
Mzamo MasitoGUEST
46:20
And you don't always need to have money to go to therapy.
Mzamo MasitoGUEST
46:24
There's also male group sessions I've attended like the Mankind Project where men went on a boot camp for a whole weekend and you learn and you come back there a better man.
Clementine ChawaneHOST
46:35
So
Mzamo MasitoGUEST
46:35
those are some of the things as well that men can do for themselves while waiting for government to fix issues of poverty, inequality, spatial planning.
Ekai Joel ChristbergHOST
4:30

Ekai Joel ChristbergHOST
6:03

Zenko Ryan HarriottGUEST
6:15

Ekai Joel ChristbergHOST
6:32
