Mangystau Region

Twenty years ago, it was the leading region for fishery in Kazakhstan, but now its role has been reduced.

Even on the Caspian Sea, the role in fishing has shifted to Mangystau region.

In 2006, the Atyrau region accounted for around 40% of Kazakhstan's total fish catch, and now it's only 20% of total fish catch, and it's dropped from almost 14,000 tons to less than 10,000 tons per year.

So we can see also that tourism is impacted by climate change.
