Man Behind The Sun

but I have seen a fair few films from this part of the world, and one thing you can generally rely on is that you're in for a wild ride.

Whether we're talking Japanese or Hong Kong cinema, I've watched films like the guinea pig series, Men Behind the Sun, Bunman, also known as The Untold Story, End Trails of a Virgin, Hell in a Bottle, etc, etc, the list goes on.

Now, these aren't your polished mainstream horror films like The Grudge, The Ring or The Eye.

We're talking about a very different corner of extreme cinema.

That's true.

Oh, Oh, you know what it is? Um, uh, this isn't really a killer rat movie, but, but in terms of just like rat action, um, uh, the men behind the sun.

Oh Jesus.

That with the cat scene, that's rough.

Rob Gervais does not condone animal cruelty in films.

However, the animal cruelty that has been captured on films is ripe for scrutiny and evaluation.

I think that those parts in Men Behind the Sun are achievements in cinema, even though they are depictions of horrific cruelty.

That should never be repeated.
