The Immigration Enforcement Agency has arrested nearly 6,300 across upstate New York since Trump's return to office.

There are 10 municipalities that account for the majority, including Buffalo, Rochester, Alden, Syracuse, Champlain, Albany, Ballston Spa, Schenectady, Batavia, and Malta.

There have been 1,120 arrests in Buffalo, 631 in Rochester, and on the smaller end at Malta, 95 arrests.

On Tuesday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen announced agents had rounded up nearly 2,200 migrants across the state in an operation that ran from late July to late August.

He said in a press release the operation was in response to a law that Governor Kathy Hochul signed that canceled agreements several sheriff's offices had with ICE.
