One of my colleagues is a Maliseet anthropologist.

His name is Bernie Purley.

His grandmother was a traditional speaker who had informed a very famous anthropologist, but he mistranslated her.

Um, look, uh, last fall, the New Brunswick Court of Appeal came out with the Wolastoqey decision.

That was a case where formerly known as the Maliseet in New Brunswick claimed 60% of New Brunswick, the western 60% of New Brunswick.

Included in that was large swaths of private land, of large forest companies primarily.

Um, the forest companies applied, and I was involved in that litigation, so just full disclosure, to be removed from the litigation.
