Province of Málaga

Jorge, make us a little intro to the city.

Okay, well, Ronda is located east part of Malaga County, my birthplace, right? From Malaga, because, I mean, geographically it's not that far, but that area is very hilly, a lot of mountains, so the roads are some snaky, except by a coast, which is a little bit flatter.

and you have highways more or less straight.

But yeah, it could take about from Malaga city, like about an hour and 15 from the coast is like about 45 minutes.

Then came November 1989.

Beginning on the 14th of the month, repeated storms brought some of the worst flooding Malaga Province had experienced in modern times.

The emergency continued into early December.

Eight people died across the province, thousands were affected, and the damage was enormous.

This is your Spanish news.
