Maladaptation

They're clean.

Then I walked down, my last time in New York, I walked down Amsterdam Avenue, because I used to live on Broadway, and right on the Upper West Side, and the entire walk clear down to Lincoln Center was nothing but gross, terrible smells, garbage stacked six feet high, and everything was grimy and grungy, nothing was clean, but people had maladapted to that.

So, yeah, the city has as many people now as it's ever had, but it's a different city today.

The energy is different.

Think of that.

Where is your sense of reason? And we're not using reason today.

So as a result, we've maladapted, but not everywhere.

In most cases, this is successful adaptation.
