And you kind of, you go, oh, wow, that's great.

And Mal Evans running off to get a pen.

It's fantastic.

The documentary comes out, and I just thought that was completely fascinating, like everything about that, them wowing everybody at the convention in Memphis, and then everybody rooting for them, all the music writers, and just everything that imploded on them, one thing after the other.

And it's weird, too, because there's a song on this record that I compared to Badfinger, which is very much a Beatles, that's more directly Beatlesque, because they were on Apple, of course, and they recorded a McCartney song, and then, you know, Mal Evans, the whole nine yards.

And they also had terrible, terrible luck, really terrible luck.

And so that's my one memory is watching the documentary and then slowly getting into this.

There was a bathtub filled with water brought into the studio, and chains were dragged around inside of it.

And then the last chorus of the song featured the band, George Martin, Neil Aspinall, Marian Faithfull, Patti Boyd, and Mal Evans.

And Mal Evans is said to have had a bass drum strapped to his chest, and I think they all went around dancing around the studio singing the last chorus of the song.

I think that's what you hear at the end of the song.

Now,

There was somebody that was his age.

And Mal Evans, and of course, I'll never forget when Julian said to us, he goes, oh, I want to go on the teacup.

And I said, John, I'm not going.

He goes, well, I'm not going.

He said, George gets a drumstick and a piece of wood, which would be the guiro.

And then Ringo jumped on Mal Evans' back and went to go hang out with him.

And in Help and Magical Mystery, by the way, you know the guy who randomly swims to shore at the end of Help?

That's him.

He pops up out of the water, asks them where to go, and the white something or other...

Do you remember having any interactions with him?

Yes.

I don't know their height, but I'm just gonna say they did not seem like towering figures.

They were not tall guys at all.
