And it was like based off of like having a project done by the end of the summer based on different topics.

And in the past couple of years, the past two years, we've been partnered with the Makah tribe out in Neah Bay.

And that's where we were at this summer and last summer.

Yeah.

Well, we had a cancellation, to be honest, and they brought some representatives from near the tribe that are part of their, um, what do you call it? Shaman Shack, which is like a group of people that meet out near Neah Bay.

Makah.

And so we, we had, almost had some Makah elder representation last year.

It fell short of that.

Um, actually Brian Gagnon, who's a Makah elder, did show up, and so the- Just to speak a little bit about who Brian Gagnon is, uh, he's a Makah Native American, been on the Makah reservation, I believe, his whole life, grown out.

You know, Neah Bay is the most northwestern part of the United States.

So when you stand, and Ally, you've been there before, you're looking out, like, to the, one of the most spectacular views you can ever think of, which is, like, this little dock that faces out over the Pacific Northwest.

And the point of that is that it's really wild country.

Eight tribal nations have formal relationship with Olympic National Park today.

The Ho, the Quileute, the Quinault, the Makah, the Lower Elwha Sklalom, the Jamestown Sklalom, the Port Gamble Sklalom, and the Skokomish.

They didn't used to live here.

They still live here.

They don't want anybody to go on the roof.

If you want to use the roof, you have to have a Makah.

Otherwise, someone can fall off and get killed.

If nobody uses the roof, you don't need a Makah.

Din Makah is only people use it.

So the Din is that, uh, if you have different families living in their different homes, so you have to put away Ne'arubi Chatzaros to be allowed to carry from one to the other.
