Right.

Because, you know, people are, people are thinking a lot more about like, Oh, I can make easy cash on Javier Becerra beating Steve Hilton versus, you know, you know, the math on, let's say, Maine Senate is a little bit trickier and takes a little bit more people that are like in the weeds to kind of want to put their money in.

So I think that that is kind of fundamentally where it comes from, just like conceptually, just kind of, you know, because governors are always kind of, even though the national majority of governors doesn't have much of an effect on anything, these races are like conceptually very different from each other.

Now, one thing I do think is a commonality across these is you still have the use of the generic ballot.

And to say we will vote Republican in spite of themselves and stick it to them.

This is how they lose in the GOP establishment is if we we actually send more Republicans to the House and Senate.

And I am going to go out on a limb and basically say because of Trump and his energy and his policies, we are going to keep both houses.

We are going to keep the House and we are going to keep the Senate.

And that is going to be despite what the leadership of the Republican Party wants.

And we, as the voters, are going to make sure they are forced.

That's according to the Cook Political Report.

So the Republicans only need nine out of the 21 to reach the majority, which I think is going to happen easily.

Then Troy Jackson made it worse.

As president of the Maine Senate, Troy raised property taxes on seniors.

Under Troy Jackson's failed leadership in Augusta, Maine's electricity rates skyrocketed, the highest increase in the nation.

So according to WABI News Desk, Troy Jackson, the former Maine Senate president and US Senate candidate, has faced scrutiny over a 2021 water bottle incident during a legislative argument, a resurfaced 1988 misdemeanor assault charge from a physical altercation, and historical online anonymous activity mocking political rivals.

Okay, so let's say it together, anger management.

Um, but, but there's something happening here in Maine that is, uh, really unbelievable, and I'm glad to be just a part of it.

Um, uh, um, uh, Senator Jackson, you were the f- former president of the Maine State Senate, so I wanna honor your, your public service there.

Um, you, you mentioned, uh, people being upset with Senator Collins and, and, um, her vote that put Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, which then led to, um, the overturning of Roe versus Wade, but I'm wondering what you're hearing from, from Mainers after the, the shooting, um, the ice shooting there, and I wanna play, I wanna play this, um, th- this sound.

A reporter from Zeteo last month, J- July 15th, trying to ask the senator to get her reaction to that shooting.

Um, uh, uh, there, there, there...

I'll just say there were people in this household who love Maine who were very disappointed that you decided not to get involved in the Maine Senate race when people were asking you to get involved.

Did you ever consider, uh, jumping in that race? I know, I know there were a lot of people that were pressuring you to do that, but do you ever, did you ever consider it for a minute?

Listen, I gotta be honest on this.

When a Democratic candidate faces credible allegations of sexual harassment or other disqualifying things, they're typically pressured to step aside.

I point you towards Graham Plattner's recent departure from the Maine Senate race.

The Democratic Party turns against candidates who somehow slipped under the radar and have been found unfit.

Republicans have a different standard completely, and so, too, I have to say, does corporate media.
