Maine Grains

You-- Really nothing is wasted in those, um, those businesses, and it's very typical in Japan.

Yeah, at Maine Grains, they're, um, this wonderful local grain shed hub in central Maine.

They've had this little cottage industry of businesses that have sprung up around them, one of which is a cheese maker that's right next door.

And so they're using whey products in their baked goods, and there's this interchange between the mill and the cheese maker that, again, is really reducing waste and creating a lot of novel value-added products.
