Bullpen, rotation, you know, today's game notwithstanding, this is a pitching staff that has been overwhelmed this season by injuries and regression.

But When you have your, you know, you think hopefully your first baseman, second baseman, catcher, shortstop, third baseman, hopefully if Michael Garcia is healthy, and your right fielder, and then a DH potentially with Salvador Perez, when you have all that in tow, it becomes a lot easier to build out a team.

They have the core group of guys that they need to be there.

They need outfield help.

They have guys that are capable of being great.

above average bats not everybody needs to be an above average bat but you need a couple of guys that can really slug it in the middle of the order and you need a lot of you know supporting pieces around them the royals have a good bit of supporting pieces i also think that they have two to three guys in the top of the order that i would consider as you know star players um i don't know if i've considered jensen there just yet But I do think that Caglione, Bobby Witt Jr. are two stars.

I think that Michael Garcia, as a former all-star, as a guy you have to throw in there.

And then, you know, the supporting cast becomes a bunch of guys who are league average to a little bit above league average bats at their best.

Whenever they've given him some at-bats, he's been solid.

And I do like the fact that Vinny Pasquantino here in the second half of the season since he's come off the injured list has been solid, but they're still dealing with the Michael Garcia injury.

The Royals have been a little bit better with their bullpening recently, but still, they are 29th out of 30 teams this season in terms of bullpen ERA.

Jose Quijada and Anthony Gose have been able to give you a sub 350 ERA.

Just before we were talking, you guys were taking ground balls.

What's it like taking ground balls next to or after Mikel Garcia, a guy that is a major league gold glover?

Yeah, it was pretty cool.

Definitely a cool experience.

But how long were you going to be able to play great baseball without Garcia? Without Vinny Pasquantino hitting well? Without three guys or more than two guys, I guess I should say.

Bobby Wood Jr. had his most injury-ridden season, and he wasn't banged up the entire year, but dealt with a variety of injuries.

Garcia had an injury-ridden season.

We'll talk about two-thirds of the outfield in the third and final segment, but they were not good this year.

They still need an additional quality right-handed bat because what you don't want to see is Salvador Perez hitting three.

I think the more likely scenario of Bobby moving would be Bobby moving to three with Mikel Garcia batting one and Carter Jensen batting two.

Number one, that would help Carter Jensen getting off the field and not having to race through.

I do wonder, getting the gear off...

Get guys off days.

They don't have the ability to put Mikel Garcia out there short like they did last year or the last two years.

I'd love to see Bobby Witt Jr. get a half day where he just DHs.

Maybe it can be on the road trip so it doesn't upset the fans.
