Mahavira

So we always express our gratitude rather than demanding something from the divine soul.

But a lot of Jain people think that Mahavira or any of Tirthankara will not give you anything.

Why? Yeah.

Yeah.

I want this podcast to be good.

I want to give back, you know, so that I can, focus on spiritual also.

Now if you, you know, the time of Mahavira is a different time.

Now if I want to enlighten, material life is helpful for my enlightenment.

Use your own experience as a guide to how you treat others.

In the same century, Mahavira, the founder of Jainism, taught, a man should wander about treating all creatures as he himself would be treated.

And the Hindu Mahabharata, roughly contemporary, contains the verse, one should never do to another what one regards as injurious to oneself.

This, in brief, is the rule of Dharma.

If someone has known it so long ago, and after that so many, even Mahavir was a king, you know, Jain monk.

So many.

Do you think Bhagwan would not have done well after enlightenment, just staying in his house? He was studying.

Uh, he was wandering in Bihar, what is presently known as the state of Bihar, India.

That's also where, um, Mahavir or Mahavira, if you pronounce the A.

Usually they don't pronounce the A at the ends of things here, um, of Sanskrit, uh, things here.

Um, what am I talking about? Yeah, Jainism and, uh, you know, a lot of things, a lot of the ascetic paths of, of old, uh, especially in the sixth century before Common Era, were based out of the same place that this school is based in today.
