If you have somebody who really loves what they're doing, it's not that everybody is going to love Magnolias as much as he does, but I love them more and appreciate them more because of him.

And I have some rare and unusual cultivars of magnolias in my garden because of Kevin Parris and his influence.

This nature spirit's a little bit... a little bit reclusive, but it, you know, it's the nature spirit of this Magnolia tree.

And when I saw him one time, it was very much looked like a little green man.
S
9:23Spence MaddenHOST
If you've ever seen the green man in different cultures, et cetera, and some people hang like little green men over their doors and stuff, that face was very much the essence of that.

So let's go to X and it looks like Zach Beeson recently stopped by the old site of Ponce de Leon Park in Atlanta and he mentions how This field had a magnolia tree, and that's what he's got there in his background is the famous magnolia tree of Ponce de Leon Park.

In fact, the 1965 season of the Atlanta Crackers was their final season, and they played that season in the brand new, what would become the Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, which in 1966, the very next year, the Braves showed up, took over Atlanta, took over the South in some ways, and the Atlanta Crackers won.

disappeared unfortunately but a really neat story so back to what i'm talking about you see that tree behind zach in the background magnolia tree and that awesome jersey but that tree is what we're talking about today the magnolia tree of ponce de leon park home of the atlanta crackers and why are we talking about a tree because Unfortunately, that tree, after 100 plus years of being right there at the site of the old baseball stadium, they tore that stadium down somewhere in the, I think, 70s.

And it's, let's just say, not in the best part of Atlanta these days.
