Mae Whitman

Because I have written in my notes, I know for a fact.

Jakub will not have realized that the friend in this scene is Mae Whitman, Annie in Good Girls.

Yes,

I did look it up and I never looked these things up, but it really, really bothered me.

And so I had auditioned for that film, got pretty far.

Like I think it was down to Mae Whitman, who is the actress who plays the role that I auditioned for, and maybe like one other person.

But at most it was like down to the three of us.

I think it really was down to the two of us.

Yeah.

And so Kristen Stewart, Michelle Trachtenberg and Mae Whitman were also considered for Katie role.

i was gonna say i think michelle trachtenberg maybe yeah i can see that kristen stewart i think she has too much of like an old like her vibe is too alternative

oh that's true that's true this was like i think just post panic room

Duff.I, okay, I've never seen it before.

I, it was right, right around when I, a few years after I- With Mae Whitman? No, five years after.

The one with Mae Whitman? With Mae Whitman.

Yeah, okay.

Yes.

Um, to say what The DUFF is, if you don't know, designated ugly fat friend, which sounds horrific, and it is.

[laughs] But it's really just to explain an outlier of someone in a group who doesn't really have a, a place in it, and that's, that's at least how it's used in the context of, of this movie.

So we follow, um, her among some hijinks to find herself and her place in the group, and Mae Whitman is just so charming, and I, I loved it.
