Madrid

You're in Class 2A, Region 7.

You're gonna be hosting Madrid.

When you looked at the pairings on Thursday when they came out, what went through your mind?

I was actually a little surprised.

We head out to Iowa.

We know they have a top 24/7 receiver committed from that state in Landon Bloom, but they've also got their eyes on a tight end in the 2028 class from Madrid High School in Madrid, Iowa.

Number three tight end nationally.

He's considered that state's top overall prospect in the '28 class.

But first, events.

Iowa Young Birders is partnering with a few other wildlife organizations from across the state to once again host the High Trestle Hawk Watch on Saturday, October 10th from 10 to noon in Madrid, Iowa.

Join experts from many different natural resource organizations to get your eye in the sky in search of raptors.

These include hawks, eagles, osprey, and more.

We have a great relationship with Dollar General, but they put stores in little bitty towns.

There's a town north of Des Moines called Madrid.

It's 1200 people.

There is a Dollar General on the outskirts of Madrid, Iowa.

we would not do that deal because Dollar General is the only potential tenant for that 9,000 square foot box in Madrid, Iowa.

We're doing those dollar stores in 50,000 generally in larger towns and cities.

So you're in a place where there are people, right? And there's a reason for other tenants to be there.
