Madri

Kunti marries King Pandu.

She bears three sons, Yudhishthira, Bhima, and Arjuna, and raises the twins of her co-wife Madri as her own.

And all those years, she says nothing.

Think about what she sees.

He says, "Let Nakula live." Nakula is the fourth.

He is the son of Madri, Pandu's second wife.

And Yudhishthira explains his choice, "My father had two wives, Kunti and Madri.

I am Kunti's son, and I am alive.

Let Madri also have one son alive.

Let both mothers have a child." It is a small act and a great one.

It is fairness in the moment when he is grieving and desperate.
