Madeleine Sami

Why does Paul Goldsmith keep turning up to these things? And the reason for that headline is that Paul Goldsmith went to the Silver Scroll Awards last night, and yet again, the musicians gave him a hard time.

Madeleine Sami, who is the emcee, got up and started off with, "You're brave," and then Rob Ruha got up to get an award, and he said, "Kick these punks out," and then Don McGlashan, who, you know, Don McGlashan, he, he gets feisty about the stuff from time to time.

He said, "Send these ideas back to the Dark Ages where they belong," and Paul had to sit there in the audience taking it, and every time his name was mentioned, according to this particular report, someone in the audience made retching noises.

So he went home early, and frankly, who can blame him for going home early? Because he copped it.

Um, we'll hear some snippets from those covers, and I'll tell you who you were hearing afterwards, but, um, Godfrey De Gruy was on music curation this year.

Madeleine Sami did an amazing job hosting, and the whole team at APRA who, who made the night possible just absolutely killed it.

So we're gonna start by, uh, hearing some little snippets of chats that we had with the finalists on the red carpet before the awards, and then we'll listen to some interviews with the winners.
