Madame Xanadu

So I guess that was an easy way to kind of do that.

But I loved that issue that Marsha Rogers illustrated of Madame Xanadu.

With just that one shot? Yeah.

I mean, I do think it makes it more interesting, right, that Jim Corden was a dirty cop.

Well, and, you know, we'd had the Spectre run with Madame Xanadu heavily involved previously with the Doug Lynch one, and this run heavily yes yes the specter almost seems new i think he's just kind of maybe lost his way at least jim corgan in trying to figure out what his role is and the series really explores the ideas of justice and vengeance and is the specter actually helping anybody or is he just enacting vengeance or is he using his powers in a way? I mean, he's not a superhero, but is he using his powers in a way that could actually prevent some of this stuff from happening? Or is his involvement actually making things worse? Because we do have issues in here where the specter thinks he's acting, you know, acting in, a way he should, and it actually has bad consequences.

Yeah.

So, um, a lot of these are kind of standalone stories.

Well, in that issue, we also had Amy going in the background trying to find out more about Corrigan because she's obsessed after she saw him get shot and walk away.

She finds his private investigator firm and that's what he did in the last series.

He had a firm based out of the brownstone that Madame Xanadu has and she gets up to his office and it's abandoned his name still on the door but on the way out madame xanadu calls her in um madame xanadu comes off badly in this series she does from what i have read she's not a hero no she seems like she's after power and she knows amy's gonna have some ties with jim and the specter and it's like hey follow me when you find him um But this has ties to the last series because the Spectre had a relationship with Madame Xanadu for most of that series.

The retcons of her, she's associated with Madame Xanadu and a few others within the greater DC magical world.

She is one of the people that helped to create Homo Magi, the race of people that are more connected to magic in the DC universe.

but is probably more famous outside of the comics from the cartoon from the early 2000s where she was voiced by Olivia Diabo and she was Jason Blood's lover in this until she betrayed him during an invasion of Camelot Uh, she shows up in an episode called a night of shadows.

Also that day, demon nights, number one, the second printing in the new 52 universe, more Drew's origins in the time of Camelot in the year 10, 13 are revealed.

It features also features Etrigan, the demon, Madame Xanadu, Vandal Savage, and the shining night.

Um, At that same time, we had Demon Knights issue two coming out.

The demon Etrigan and his unlikely lover, Madame Xanadu, there's a couple, face the Horde, which is armed with the magic of Mordrew.
