Um, the secretary of state's race is, is bearing a little better in that it's outside of the margin of error.

Uh, Lieutenant governor Garland Gilchrist is leading by about six and a half points over, uh, Macomb County clerk, Anthony Forlini.

He is likely aided by the fact that he's been on a statewide ballot, you know, for the last two terms under Governor Whitmer as her running mate.

So people recognize his name a little more readily than Anthony Forlini.

Benton Harbor began adding fluoride to its water back in 1951, like most communities around the state, but stopped during its lead water line crisis.

City Manager Alex Little previously told commissioners that EGLE is now asking whether the city wants to resume the practice.

So I spoke to prosecutors in some major counties, Kent and Macomb, and I also heard from a spokesperson in Wayne County.

And they told me that they will always charge felony murder if the facts support it.

They said it's unfair to do otherwise.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido, he told me that he had a, quote, absolute obligation to charge felony murder.

And he basically said, you know, if people don't like the law, they should get the lawmakers to repeal it.

Otherwise, he's going to charge it.

When you have someone like Perry Johnson who, who plopped down, like, $30 million of his own money to try to win a Republican primary, uh, John James has got a messaging iss- issue.

Even though he's kind of a known quantity, uh, because he's run, ran twice statewide, you know, lost two state, statewide races for US Senate and then, and then ran and, and won, uh, uh, the congressional seat in Macomb County, uh, for two terms, um, he still seems to be struggling with, with, with connecting with voters a little bit.

I guess, uh, he, you know, cinched the primary by being attached to Donald Trump, and that may be a weight in the general election.

Mike Rogers was unopposed, so he doesn't need the president that much it seems to me, and would be able to distance himself.
