Like, what would the wording be?

Yeah.

So low would be deep.

Spaced out would be, depending on if you're laterally spaced out, which would be wide, or longitudinally spaced out, which would be stretched.

Uh, so we really break it down into the three axes.

But to take it a step back, basically everyone in the formation has an error box that they could stay within.

And even within your error box, you would still be talking about errors that you had from the ideal.

Can you take us back to that day?

[laughs]

... because you kinda plan for the unexpected.

So we knew that, hey, you're messing with pitot-statics, you're changing how you display air speed, altitude, and the whole gamut of your instrument panel.

So now it's like, okay, we assume there were gonna be errors in air speed, we assume there were gonna be, you know, static source error, uh, correction values that were incorrectly programmed or something like that.

So, and we needed something to compare to, so we took along, uh, somebody from the set community on the Tutor.

We took them in a chase aircraft in an unmodified Tutor and basically compared air speeds that way.

And, and the first flight we take off and they're rejoining to like a fighting wing position a few hundred feet away, and, you know, a typical rejoin off takeoff, 220 knots or something to that effect.

If you had to just list off some of your favorite top flight moments, what would they be?

Mm

... you know, on your days where you weren't on call, you can go out and explore, uh, with a leash, uh, the island and, and the local area.

And, um, and, and the flying was great as well, so we would frequently fly and, and go, uh, into the air spaces north of Comox and, and train that way.

Um, and, uh, yeah, for...

It, it was, it was a good experience for the first several months o- on the squadron.

And then occasionally you'd get a, a NORAD call-out from there and have to respond, um, either up north or in some kind of exercise, um, or simulation or, uh, evaluation that they would often do as well to just make sure alert forces were on the ready.

And, uh, those always amped you up, that you always had the adrenaline pumping there.
