Lynn Ann Searcy

So we've got Mara Brock Akil, who is the creator and writer of Girlfriends.

Then we have our lead actress, Tracee Ellis Ross, who plays Joan Clayton; Jill Marie Jones, who plays Antoinette 'Toni' Childs; Golden Brooks, who plays Maya Wilkes; Persia White, who plays Lynn Searcy; Keisha Sharp, who plays Monica Brooks.

Please give this woman her flowers.

Reggie Hayes, who plays William Dent.

And we've got Khalil Kain, our boo, who plays Darnell Wilkes, who is Maya's husband, and in the first season of Girlfriends, this character was actually played by Flex Alexander.

Then we've got the incomparable, unforgettable Jenifer Lewis, who plays Toni's mom, Verretta Childs, and the late great Angie Stone on our theme song.

If you, Sakinah, had to choose a character that you were most aligned with, 'cause I know who mine is, but I wanna ask you first, who do you feel most in touch with? So we got Toni, we got Joan, we got Maya, and we got Lynn.

Hmm.
