Lynchburg

And so, you know, through that process of educating folks and being open and transparent, we were able to secure quite a bit of support for the issues that were important to this administration and to our residents.

And so, you know, whether it be $100 million for the Lynchburg pump station, which is a very key and critical piece of infrastructure that provides untreated water to the East Water Purification Plant, which provides 60% of the city's drinking water.

It also provides 100% of the raw untreated water to the entire petrochemical industry along the ship channel.

So we're not only talking about Houston's economy that's affected by that pump station, but not only Texas's, but the United States and the world's, right? When you're looking at close to 40% of the United States' petrochemical refining capacity, that's directly supported by Houston Water, right, that's a big deal.

And so we try not to take things personally because you don't know, like I said, what's making this individual do something or what... potential perspective they have until you have that conversation with them.

I do wonder if some of them are easier than others.

I mean, I think of the Lynchburg pump station as a good example.

I mean, with, you know, the effects of this project, you know, pushing beyond Houston, beyond Texas to the world.
